Literacy Council Scrabble Bee
In March 2018, our Green Bay beef production facility and the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW) Local 1473 joined together to sponsor a team and attend the 16thAnnual Literacy Green Bay Scrabble Bee. A delicious chicken dinner, silent auction and two games of Scrabble were enjoyed by all, with proceeds from the event supporting Literacy Green Bay’s efforts to impact the lives of some of the neediest families in Brown County by providing adult tutoring, classroom instruction and family literacy programming to adults with low skills, limited English proficiency or lacking a high school diploma.
