Pilgrim's Tulip
Feeding Britain’s Future
The Institute of Grocery Distribution (IGD) is a research and training charity dedicated to the food and consumer goods industry. Pilgrim’s Tulip has a close relationship with IGD, particularly around their ‘Feeding Britain’s Future’ initiative. Feeding Britain’s Future is a program that provides employability skills training to secondary school students with the support of volunteers from across the food and grocery industry. This allows students to explore careers in food that they may not have considered before.
Tulip regularly offer volunteers to IGD school workshops, and in 2019, we reached and trained 644 students through the program, an increase of 65% from 2018. We look forward to growing this number even further and engaging more young people.
