Cattle Buyers are BQA Certified

Developed by NCBA (National Cattlemen’s Beef Association), a contractor to the Beef Checkoff, Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) is a producer driven, voluntary program that provides education to U.S. beef producers on best management practices. A nationally-developed and state-implemented program, BQA guidelines are designed to promote best practices related to herd health, animal handling, residue avoidance and animal welfare. When producers implement the best management practices of a BQA program, they assure their cattle are the best they can be, ultimately increasing consumer confidence in beef. Our cattle buyers becoming certified in BQA, demonstrates our commitment to animal welfare and positions our buyers as leaders and advocates within the beef industry to help our family farm and ranch partners better understand the value and importance of becoming BQA certified.
